LSU Law Center Announces 2012 Distinguished Alumnus and Distinguished Achievement Awards
June 29, 2012Chancellor Jack M. Weiss has announced that W. Henson Moore III will be honored as the 2012 LSU Law Center Distinguished Alumnus of the Year and the Honorable Elizabeth Foote, Honorable Bonnie Foster Jackson, C. Kris Kirkpatrick, William Morrison Meyers and R. Patrick Vance will be honored for Distinguished Achievement at an awards brunch on Saturday, October 20 at Nottoway Plantation in White Castle, Louisiana.

LSU Law Clinic, Faculty and Student Recognized by Louisiana State Bar Association
June 27, 2012Public interest law advocates gathered at the Louisiana Supreme Court last month for the 2012 Pro Bono and Children’s Law Awards Ceremony sponsored by the Louisiana State Bar Association. The Law Center’s Juvenile Defense Clinic, clinical faculty and one recent law center graduate were recognized at the awards ceremony for their contributions to public interest.

Wall Street Journal: LSU Law Ranks Near Top in Full-Time Employment of Law Graduates
June 25, 2012The LSU Law Center ranks 11th in the nation in the percentage of 2011 graduates employed in full-time, long-term legal jobs within 9 months of graduation, according to an analysis published earlier today by the Wall Street Journal. Some 81.25% of the graduates of the LSU Law Class of 2011 were employed in a full-time, long-term job requiring a legal degree.
