About the Law Center

As a truly bijural institution, the LSU Law Center is one of the leading comparative law schools in the world. Our exceptional faculty is fully knowledgeable about both the civil law and common law systems. Renowned international scholars and practitioners visit the LSU Law Center each semester to teach specialized short courses. Whether addressing transnational commercial transactions, international litigation and arbitration, or global intellectual property rights, our graduate program candidates resolve complex legal issues in the classroom first, before facing these same issues in real life, and all under the watchful eyes of experts with the experience to guide them to success.

The LSU Law Library, one of the top 20 law libraries in the U.S., has a full complement of state, federal, and international legal materials, and one of the finest comparative law collections from around the world.

LL.M. students are fully integrated into LSU life. Cheer for the LSU Tigers football team, join a pick-up soccer match, or catch beads at Mardi Gras.
