LSU Law 2L Daniel Philipose wins 2025 Dean’s Cup Moot Court Competition

Forty-nine members of the LSU Law Class of 2026 have been selected for the 2025-26 Board of Advocates, the Law Center’s student honor organization dedicated to the promotion and development of oral and written persuasive advocacy skills. Rising third-year law students are selected to membership on the Board of Advocates based on a holistic application that looks at a student’s success in LSU Law’s many different internal and external advocacy competitions, teams, and other skills development opportunities. Trio of LSU Law alumni among Louisiana Bar Foundation’s 2024 Distinguished honorees

The Louisiana Bar Foundation will recognize LSU Law alumni Hon. Cynthia T. Woodard (ret.) (’81), Glenn Armentor (’77), and Frank Neuner, Jr. (’76) as three of four 2024 Distinguished Honorees at the 39th Annual Fellows Gala on April 11. Woodard will be honored as the 2024 Distinguished Jurist. She graduated from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1981 and practiced law at McKeithen, Wear, Ryland & Woodard prior to being elected to the bench in 1996. When Toronto, Canada-native Joshua Silverman traveled to Baton Rouge three years ago to take a tour of the LSU Paul M. As the Director of External Dispute Resolution Competitions for the Board of Advocates, I oversee team selection, facilitate tryouts, coordinate team placements, and provide strategic guidance throughout the competition process.
