LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources Celebrates Year with Annual Banquet
March 22, 2016LSU Law students celebrated another successful year of the Louisiana State University Journal of Energy Law and Resources (JELR) with its annual banquet. The event served to recognize the current members of the Senior Editorial Board and mark the completion of the 2015-16 journal.

LSU Law Center Moves up 12 Spots in 2017 U.S. News and World Report Rankings of Law Schools
March 16, 2016The LSU Law Center moved up 12 spots to No. 82 in the latest law school rankings released today by U.S. News and World Report. The Law Center remained in the top 100 law schools in the nation in the closely watched rankings, moving up from No. 94 in the previous year.

LSU Law Announces 2016-17 Trial Advocacy Board
March 16, 2016The LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center has selected 25 students for membership on the 2016-17 Trial Advocacy Board. Membership on the Trial Advocacy Board is awarded to rising third-year students who have demonstrated commitment to development of the arts of trial advocacy at the Law Center.

LSU Law Takes National Championship at Admiralty Moot Court Competition
March 7, 2016For the second consecutive year, the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center took first place honors at the Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition. The winning team was composed of Phillip Smith, Arielle Minor and Caroline Darwin. Thirty teams from nineteen different law schools from around the country participated in this year’s competition which concluded this past weekend.

Family Law Moot Court Team Wins National Championship
March 7, 2016Congratulations to the Law Center's Domenick L. Gabrielli National Family Law Moot Court Competition team of Miesha Dunn, Samantha Gonzalez, and Keanan Parr, who took first place honors at the Gabrielli competition, which was held March 3-5 in Albany, NY! Third-year LSU Law student Miesha Dunn was also named the competition's Best Overall Oralist.
