May 16, 2016The Center for Civil Law Studies (CCLS) will present the 38th annual John H. Tucker Jr. Lecture in Civil Law on Tuesday, May 31 at 6 p.m. in the McKernan Auditorium at the LSU Law Center. Professor Francisco Reyes, Chairman of the United Nations Commission for International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and Colombian Superintendent of Companies (and Bankruptcy), will present “The Proposed Organization of American States Model Law on Simplified Corporations: Perspectives and Challenges.”

LSU Law Professor Lonegrass, 2010 Graduate Odinet Named LBF Scholars-in-Residence
May 6, 2016LSU Law Center professor Melissa Lonegrass and 2010 LSU Law graduate and current Southern University Law professor Christopher Odinet were recently named the 2016-18 Louisiana Bar Foundation Scholar-in-Residence. Lonegrass and Odinet will share the title in connection with their project to publish a treatise on the Louisiana public records doctrine.
