Congressional Action in the Energy TransitionSymposium Objective and Purpose

In this Symposium, the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources will discuss recent action taken by Congress and its effects on the energy sector. The symposium will address the following topics:

  • Offshore Oil Drilling
  • Offshore Wind Development;
  • Carbon Capture and Storage; and
  • Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Issues.

The Symposium features renowned scholars and attorneys, including Angela Adolph, Dionne Rousseau, Shawn Daray, Paul Simon, Jamie Manuel, and Keith Hall. Professors from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center will moderate these panels and assist us in addressing these issues.

The LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources (JELR) is a student-edited academic journal at the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center committed to developing and promoting a variety of topics in the purview of energy law. The JELR was established by students at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in November of 2011.
