Five LSU Law alumni included in ‘Business Report’ Forty Under 40 class of rising young professionals

LSU Law alumni are well represented on this year’s Forty Under 40 list of the Baton Rouge area’s rising young professionals who “play a key role in making the Capital Region a better place to call home.”

This year’s Forty Under 40 list, compiled and published annually by Business Report, includes LSU Law alumni Ryan Chenevert (’12), Francisca Comeaux (’11), Druit Gremillion Jr. (’11), Erin Kilgore (’07) and Jill Kindler (’11).

Chenvert, a partner at Fletcher, Roy & Chenevert LLC, tells the magazine his most fulfilling professional moment has been “helping to recover over $1 million for women and Hispanic farmers discriminated against when they tried to get farm loans.”

Comeaux, who oversees Louisiana regulatory relations at CenterPoint Energy, has previously been named the 2018 Outstanding Young Lawyer of Louisiana. She is also active with the Baton Rouge Bar Association, currently serving as past chair of the Young Lawyers Section.

Gremillion was named a partner at Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson L.L.P. in 2017 and he also serves as city attorney for the City of Central. He says one of his greatest professional achievements has been presenting and obtaining a favorable ruling before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on a unique issue of constitutional law.

Kilgore, a labor and employment litigation partner at Kean Miller L.L.P., has consistently been consistently listed among the top labor and employment lawyers in the state by Chambers USA.

Kindler, a litigation and valuation consultant at Hannis T. Bourgeois L.L.P., says her greatest professional achievements include playing a key role in growing the firm’s litigation support team into an integral part of its strategic plan and vision, and earning the Certified in Financial Forensics credential and being hired as an expert witness.
