Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Competitions

LSU Law Center students recently participated in three Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Competitions.

Highlights include: two First Place honors in individual and brief writing categories, and overall, two teams advancing into the semifinal and final rounds of their respective competitions.

The International Criminal Moot Court Team advanced to the Final Round of the ICC Moot Competition for the third year in a row. The team also won First Place for the Best Brief for the Prosecution

In Puerto Rico, the students went undefeated in preliminary rounds and made it to the semifinals. Katie Barrios also won the individual award for the Best Cross Examination of the competition.

In Michigan, the students performed extremely well in three preliminary rounds but narrowly missed making the semifinal rounds (only 4 of 26 teams advanced in this competition).
