The Field Placement Program (formerly known as the Externship Program) has 135 students participating in field placements for the Summer 2019 semester. This is the largest class since the summer placement program was created in 2011.
Students are placed with judges, government agencies, and non-profit organizations in cities across the United States, with placements everywhere from Los Angeles, CA to Tampa, FL, to Washington, DC.
This summer’s largest host organizations are the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office, and the East Baton Rouge Office of the Public Defender.
Professors Jeff Brooks, Kathy Simino, and Annie Scardulla will be supervising this summer’s student externs and working with our participating placement organizations.
