LSU Law’s Moot Court Board names 2017-18 Executive Officers

Five LSU Law students have been elected to serve as the Executive Board of the 2017-2018 Moot Court Board:

  • President: Taylor Cooper
  • Vice-President of Internal Competitions: Rebecca Indest
  • Vice-President of External Competitions: Markeya Scott
  • Vice-President of Judicial Relations: Meredith Hamblen
  • Administrative Vice-President: Shelby Dunbar

Membership on the Moot Court Board is an academic honor awarded to rising third-year students based on their success in the Law Center’s Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition.  The purpose of the Moot Court Board is to promote the development of oral and written appellate advocacy skills; to train students in all fields and phases of appellate advocacy; and to advance the science of jurisprudence.

The Moot Court Board sponsors the Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition, the Dean’s Cup Moot Court Competition, all external appellate advocacy competition teams, and works with the legal writing faculty to promote appellate advocacy among the 1L class.
