LSU Law Class of 2016 graduate Lauren Bradberry was recently honored with the 2016 Law Student Pro Bono Award, given by the Louisiana State Bar Association. Bradberry, a native of Gonzalez, La., received the award at a ceremony May 24 at the Louisiana Supreme Court in New Orleans.
“I am incredibly honored to receive this award and to put a spotlight on all of the amazing ways that (LSU Law) champions pro bono work for our students,” Bradberry said. “Our goal with PILS this year was to be as inclusive as possible and to promote pro bono work for all students and we certainly accomplished that goal.”
LSU Law professor John Devlin nominated Bradberry for the award due to her work with the underserved community. Bradberry was the president of the LSU Public Interest Law Society for the 2015-16 school year and completed more than 50 hours of pro bono service. She also graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif.
“I’m just so touched and honored that someone thought to nominate me and that I am able to represent LSU in an area that I feel so passionate about.”
