LSU Law Center’s American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Team competed with extraordinary success February 23 through 25 at the regional rounds of the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Atlanta, Georgia. Jennifer O’Connell, Christopher Cummings, Chelsea Gomez, Danielle Prado, Cameron Snowden, and Joshua Wood comprise the team.
The team of Jennifer O’Connell, Danielle Prado, and Christopher Cummings will travel to Chicago in April to compete at the National Championship, a first for the Law Center. O’Connell also took home a Best Oral Advocate award for receiving the fifth-highest individual overall score. Chelsea Gomez, Josh Wood, and Cameron Snowden finished in the top eight at the regional competition.
The ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition is the largest and one of the most competitive appellate advocacy moot court competitions in the country. The team is coached by Professor Kathy Simino.
