LSU Law announces hiring of mental health wellness professional for students

The LSU Law Center announces the hiring of Anne Catherine Seemann as its mental health wellness professional to be housed at the Law Center.

Seemann earned her master’s degree in social work from LSU in 2007 and has more than a decade of experience in providing counseling and wellness services. She has worked as a licensed clinical social worker and support coordinator at the Our Lady of the Lake Mid City Clinic since 2016.

“We are delighted to have Catherine coming on board,” LSU Law Dean Tom Galligan said.

Galligan said the Law Center has for some time been engaged in a search for a mental health and wellness professional to be housed in our building and available to serve as a counselor and all-around resource for LSU Law students. Seemann will be available to students for one-on-one sessions, and will be hosting a number of seminars beginning in the summer semester.
