The LSU Law Student Bar Association Endowed Scholarship is the first of its kind to be donated by current students. SBA leaders expressed a desire to give back and collaborated to help fund the scholarship, which, by nature of being endowed, will provide perpetual support to future students.
Sean Corcoran and Kaamil Khan, 2010-11 and 2011-12 LSU Law SBA presidents, said they and their peers felt it was important to leave a legacy to benefit other students.
The scholarship will be made available to a rising third-year law student who represents the highest standards of service and dedication to his/her fellow students and to the Law Center community. Financial need may be a consideration when awarding the scholarship.
