Robert “Bobby” Reeves (’82) and Elizabeth Reeves have established an endowed scholarship to benefit students studying in the Law Center’s Energy Law program. Mr. Reeves serves as Executive Vice President, Law and Chief Administrative Officer for Anadarko. He has held leadership positions in several energy-related companies and also practiced law in the energy sector before entering corporate practice. He is a member of the Law Center’s Energy Law Advisory Council and the Chancellor’s Council. Elizabeth graduated from LSU in 1981 with a degree in Environmental Design. They reside in Houston.
Bobby always wanted to be an energy lawyer — he even did his sixth grade career report on the profession. “I came from a comfortable family, but not one that could afford to pay for seven or eight years of college. I had to borrow money and take out student loans to come to law school,” he said. “I wanted to make sure that those who have the dream like I did will have that opportunity.”
Recipients of the scholarship must be full-time second or third-years students enrolled in the Energy Law and Policy certificate program and must have demonstrated excellence in their first year of legal studies.
