Summer Only Admission

Procedure

A student in good standing, enrolled in an accredited law school, who wishes to take summer work at the LSU Law Center and who plans to return to his former law school for the fall semester, is admitted as a nonmatriculating student for the summer term. This admission will terminate at the end of the summer term. Applicants must complete the following steps:

  1. Submit a complete application with the $50 application fee (nonrefundable). The deadline to apply for summer only admission is May 1.
  2. Applicants for summer only admission must submit a letter of good academic standing from the law school attending.

Requirements

A student in good standing, enrolled in an accredited law school, who wishes to take summer classes at the LSU Law Center and who plans to return to his or her law school for the fall semester, may be admitted as a nonmatriculating student for the summer term. A completed application should be submitted by May 1 along with the $50 application fee. Summer only applicants must submit a letter of good standing from the law school they are attending.
