More than 150 Baton Rouge area graduates convened in the Student Lounge on December 10 to meet Chancellor Jack Weiss.
Chancellor Weiss talked with alumni about the Law Center’s plans for a clinical legal education program, the recruitment of new faculty to replace a number of professors slated to retire in the near future, and the importance of increasing opportunities for student engagement at the Law Center.
Cordell Haymon welcomed guests and Donna Lee introduced the Chancellor. Shelby McKenzie reported on the status of the Campaign for LSU Law. Haymon, Lee, and McKenzie are members of the Baton Rouge area Campaign Steering Committee. Other members include Mathile Abramson, Julie Baxter, Will Coenen, John deGravelles, Jim Dore`, Christine Lipsey, Van Mayhall, Mike McKay, Bob Morgan, Rob Scheffy, Lewis Unglesby, Cyril Vetter, and Ed Walters.
Attendees were treated to saxophone music provided by Brian Babin, a 1965 law graduate.
