Some 200 students, faculty and staff from LSU Law and Southern University Law School joined together for a Presidents’ Day Celebration on February 18. The event, held on the LSU Law campus, was sponsored by the Student Bar Association and the LSU/SU chapters of the Federalist Society.
“We had a huge turnout,” said Catherine Jenkins Wheeler, LSU Law student coordinator of the event. “We probably had close to 200 people there…I had a feeling we would have a lot of people.”
Organizers say they plan to make the event an annual collaborative project with the two law schools.
