16 LSU Law students selected for induction into The Order of the Coif
Sixteen members of the LSU Law Class of 2018 were inducted into The Order of the Coif in a ceremony June 1 in the McKernan Auditorium. The Order of the Coif is a national honorary law fraternity, and each year, the local chapter elects to membership from the highest 10 percent of the senior class, those students who are deemed qualified. |

Nine LSU Law students selected for induction into The Order of the Barristers
Nine members of the LSU Law Class of 2018 were inducted May 30 into the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization whose purpose is the encouragement of oral advocacy and brief writing skills through effective law school oral advocacy programs. Students who have excelled in moot court, mock trial, brief writing, oral advocacy, and other advocacy programs throughout their time at the LSU Law Center are selected to join the Order. |

2018 grad Sara Kuebel named recipient of American Law Institute CLE Scholarship & Leadership Award
LSU Law 2018 graduate Sara Kuebel was selected as the recipient of the school's American Law Institute CLE Scholarship & Leadership Award. Kuebel, from Covington, graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the national honorary law fraternity The Order of the Coif. She also served as Senior Associate of the Louisiana Law Review and Student Bar Association Executive President. |

Graduate Ahmed Soussi recipient of Law Student Pro Bono Award by the Louisiana Bar Foundation
LSU Law Class of 2018 graduate Ahmed Soussi was the recipient of the Louisiana Bar Foundation Law Student Pro Bono Award at the Louisiana Supreme Court on May 22. The award recognizes a law student from an ABA-accredited law school in Louisiana who has demonstrated a dedication to providing legal services to the poor. |

LSU's Immigration Law Clinic successfully argues for clients seeking asylum, lawful status during Spring semester
The LSU Immigration Law Clinic successfully advocated for 13 clients during the Spring 2018 semester, including 11 cases for asylum granted. The Immigration Law Clinic provides an intensive, live-client representation experience in which students represent non-citizens in their defensive proceedings before the Executive Office of Immigration Review and affirmative applications with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. |
