U.S. Army War College to Visit LSU Law on March 22
The LSU Law Center will host the U.S. Army War College Eisenhower Series College Program on March 22 in the McKernan Auditorium. Four of the nation's leading military personnel will discuss critical issues facing our nation's armed forces, including diversity in the military, integration of women into combat positions, legal issues of autonomous weapons and more. |

Renowned Commentator on Law and Society Arthur R. Miller Gives 2017 Rubin Lecture
Arthur R. Miller – NYU School of Law professor and one of the nation's most distinguished legal scholars – delivered the Judge Alvin B. and Janice G. Rubin Visiting Professor of Law Lecture on March 8 at the LSU Law Center. Miller visited classes and held a student lunch Q&A during the day, and he discussed the role of the court system in today's political and economic world during his lecture. |

Professor Oliver Moréteau Inducted into French Republic's Ordre des Palmes Academiques
On Feb. 9, three LSU faculty members – including LSU Law's Center of Civil Law Director and Assistant Dean Olivier Moréteau – were inducted into the French Republic's prestigious Ordre des Palmes Academiques, or the Order of the French Academic Palms. Moréteau was bestowed the grade of Officier. The award recognizes both foreigners and French living abroad who promote French education and culture. |
