LSU Law Mourns the Passing of Louisiana Legal Giant and Longtime Professor A.N. Yiannopoulos

The LSU Law community is invited to a memorial service to honor and remember Professor A.N. Yiannopoulos, who passed away Feb. 1 at age 88. The service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Lod Cook Alumni Center on LSU's campus.

Bernette Joshua Johnson and Gammiel Berthella Gray became pioneering African-American female LSU Law students in a time when both African-Americans and female students were still rarities at the law school. LSU Places Second Overall in National Criminal Law Competition

LSU Law's Costello National Criminal Law Trial Advocacy Competition "Purple" team was named the Best Defense Team, National Finalists and Second Place overall on Feb. 12 at the national competition in Fairfax, Va. Also in the competition, LSU Law's "Gold" team placed as National Quarterfinalists and a Top-8 team overall.
