Mark your calendars! Fall 2015 Advocacy Skills Lunch Workshops
August 20, 2015Are you a 2L or 3L who wants to learn more about opening statements, expert witnesses, or Moot Court tryouts? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then mark your calendars for the fall 2015 Advocacy Skills Lunch Workshops. Designed to give 2L and 3L students exposure to a number of different courtroom skills, these workshops will complement participation in the many internal competitions offered at LSU Law, and also to assist students in developing skills that may be assessed in the Advocacy Programs’ moot court and trial advocacy team tryouts. No experience in courtroom practice is necessary to participate!

August 14, 2015LSU President F. King Alexander welcomed the LSU Law Class of 2018 to campus on Thursday, August 14. The class of 172 students is the first class to enter LSU Law under the realigned structure with the main campus.

To access the tour, download the audio files for the first, second, and third floors of the library - feel free to download these files before the IT & Library Orientation session on Friday morning. There is no particular order that you must follow as you take your tour - feel free to start on any library floor.

Library Reading Room Closure
August 11, 2015The Law Library Main Reading Room will be closed from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13 for the Student Organization Fair. During this time, patrons are asked to use the upper floors of the Library.

Learn by Doing: 2015 Trial Advocacy Program
August 10, 2015Over 170 third-year LSU Law students will “learn by doing” at the Law Center’s annual Trial Advocacy program that begins today. From cross examination to voir dire jury selection, students will role play and receive critiques from some of the nation’s leading experts in courtroom practices during the intensive three day program held at the Law Center, August 10-12.
