LSU Law professor, four alumni named Louisiana Bar Association Distinguished Honorees
May 26, 2021The Louisiana Bar Foundation recognized four LSU Law alumni and one professor as Distinguished Honorees at its 2021 Fellows Gala on April 23 for distinguishing themselves in their profession and bringing credit and honor to the legal profession. Every spring, lawyers, judges, and professors from across the state attend the LBF’s Annual Fellows Gala to support its mission to preserve, honor, and improve Louisiana’s system of justice. The LBF is active in funding, developing, and promoting efforts that enhance the legal profession, increase public understanding of the legal system and advance the reality of equal justice under the law. Borel, Drummond named 2021 recipients of Kalinka Award for Advocacy Programs Coach of the Year
May 25, 2021LSU Law alumni Doran Drummond (’12) and Danielle “Dani” Borel (’12) have been named the 2021 recipients of the Kalinka Award for Advocacy Programs Coach of the Year. LSU Law alumni Danielle “Dani” Borel (’12) and Doran Drummond (’12) have been named the 2021 recipients of the Kalinka Award for Advocacy Programs Coach of the Year. LSU Law awards 180 degrees to Class of 2021, holds commencement exercises
May 17, 2021LSU Law awarded 180 degrees to graduates in the Class of 2021, including 179 Juris Doctor (JD) degrees and one Master of Laws (LLM) degree. Additionally, 136 students who earned a J.D. also earned a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law (CL) and nine students earned a Graduate Certificate in Energy Law and Policy (GELCP). The LSU Law Class of 2021 represents two countries, 22 states, and 36 Louisiana parishes.
