Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal to hold oral arguments at LSU Law on March 1

The Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal will hold oral arguments in the David Robinson Courtroom at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center on Wednesday, March 1, as part of the courts’ education outreach program. Judges Hunter Greene, Guy Holdridge (’78), and Page McClendon will preside over the docket of five cases that are scheduled to be argued, with hearings to begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. The First Circuit is one of five Louisiana intermediate appellate courts, with its jurisdiction extending over 16 parishes in southeast Louisiana. Alena Allen named dean of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center

LSU has named Alena Allen dean of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Allen, a Louisiana native, is currently deputy director for the Association of American Law Schools and professor of law at the University of Arkansas School of Law. More than 70 law firms and corporations have registered to interview LSU Law students as part of the Office of Career Services’ annual Spring On-Campus Interview Week.
