Professor Oliver Moréteau Inducted into the French Republic’s Prestigious Ordre des Palmes Academiques

On Thursday, Feb. 9, three LSU faculty members were inducted into the French Republic’s prestigious Ordre des Palmes Academiques, or the Order of the French Academic Palms. The award recognizes both foreigners and French living abroad who promote French education and culture.

LSU Law to Hold Memorial Service for Late Professor Yiannopoulos

The LSU Law community is invited to a memorial service to honor and remember Professor A.N. Yiannopoulos, who passed away Feb. 1 at age 88. The service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Lod Cook Alumni Center on LSU’s campus. Professor Yiannopoulos was a legend of Louisiana law. He helped reshape and rewrite major parts of the Louisiana civil code, as well as helped shape generations of lawyers during his 21-year tenure at LSU Law.
