Summer 2006 Bar Passage: The Story Within a Story
December 12, 2006How does one measure institutional success? When it comes to law school, many would suggest that simple bar passage rates are the measure by which we should judge legal education. For many years, LSU Law Center students have achieved the highest passage rate among all examinees on the bar exam. And, according to the results released in September 2006 by the Committee on Bar Admissions for the Supreme Court of Louisiana, LSU Law retained its usual first place ranking among all public and private law schools in the July 2006 examination. John S. Hightower and Stephen J. Holliday join the Office of Alumni Relations
December 12, 2006Hightower joins the Law Center as Senior Development Officer. He has extensive experience in fundraising and public affairs, having worked with numerous corporations, associations, and nonprofit organizations, including AARP, Baton Rouge Technology Council, LA Motor Transport Association, The Tobacco Institute, and Georgia-Pacific Corporation. Hightower has been the owner of John S. Hightower, Public Affairs Counsel since 1986. The firm specialized in lobbying, public relations, and small organization management. Patrick Juneau Named 2006 LSU Law Center Distinguished Alumnus of the Year
December 12, 2006Patrick A. Juneau, Jr. of Lafayette was named the LSU Law Center 2006 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. Juneau was honored at the Law Center’s Distinguished Alumnus banquet held November 1, 2006. Chancellor John J. Costonis announced the selection of Juneau stating, “Mr. Juneau represents the highest standards of the profession.
