Thanksgiving Holiday Closure

November 25, 2024

The Law Library will close at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 and will remain closed through Saturday, November 30, 2024 for the Thanksgiving Day holiday.  The Law Library will reopen on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

Professor Keith Hall with 23 LSU Law students and Energy Law Research Associate Portia Oduro (’23) at the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation’s Fall Symposium in Lexington, Kentucky in October. Professor Keith Hall was in high demand in 2024, traveling to nearly a dozen states and our nation’s capital to present or participate at leading energy law conferences and symposia. LSU Law Professor Nick Bryner travels to Azerbaijan to present at the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference

LSU Law Professor Nick Bryner traveled to Baku, Azerbaijan in mid-November to present on forest law, climate change, and the role of judges in addressing climate change at the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP29. The trip capped a busy year in which Bryner’s scholarship took him to the Philippines, Indonesia, Brazil, and Canada, among many other places near and far. Liskow Visiting Professor in Energy Law Lecture at LSU Law to explore energy project permitting reform on Nov. 21

University of Minnesota Law School Professor James Coleman will deliver the 2024 Liskow Visiting Professor in Energy Law Lecture at LSU Law on Thursday, Nov. 21. Coleman specializes in North American energy infrastructure, transport, and trade, and his lecture—“Permitting the Future of Energy Law”—will explore potential reforms to the permitting process for energy projects. The lecture will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Robinson Courtroom at the LSU Paul M.
