West Study Aids
November 29, 2021As you prepare for exams, be sure to take a look at the West Study Aids. This database will provide unlimited online access to hundreds of study aids, treatises, and audio lectures. The study aids collection enables you to add your own notes and highlights, which are saved to your account. You can also access multiple-choice practice questions to help you prepare for exam questions. You will need to create a West Academic account. This is different from your Westlaw account.

Thanksgiving Day Holiday Closure
November 22, 2021The Law Library will close at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 and will remain closed through Saturday, November 27, 2021 for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The Law Library will reopen on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

Extended Library Hours
November 12, 2021Beginning Monday, November 15 through Friday, December 10, the Law Library will be open until midnight each night for the exam period. Check the Library Hours page for full details. During the exam period, the Law Library will only be open to currently enrolled law students at both LSU and Southern after 5:00 p.m. including weekends. Best of luck students on your upcoming exams!

2021 Tullis Moot Court Competition finals to take place at LSU Law on Nov. 8
November 5, 2021The LSU Law community is invited to attend the final round of the 2021 Tullis Moot Court Competition on Monday, Nov. 8, at 6:15 p.m. in the Robinson Courtroom on the second floor of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center. The final round of competition will also be live streamed on the LSU Law Advocacy Programs Facebook page. In the final round, two teams of second-year students will face off in appellate oral arguments in a hypothetical U.S. Supreme Court case. LSU Law students’ article published in the ‘Louisiana Bar Journal’
November 5, 2021Third-year LSU Law students Caroline Broussard and Justine Ware are co-authors of “Mediation Breaks into Prison,” which is featured in the October/November issue of the Louisiana Bar Journal. Broussard and Ware wrote the article under the supervision of Clinical Adjunct Professor Paul Breaux while they were in the Civil Mediation Clinic in the spring semester. Breaux serves on the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Council of the Louisiana State Bar Association, which publishes the journal.
