LSU Law begins spring semester with new faculty member John Lovett
January 29, 2024Property law scholar John Lovett has joined the faculty at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. He began his first semester teaching Civil Law and Common Law Property at LSU Law in Spring 2024. “LSU Law is a very important institution in Louisiana and the United States,” said Lovett, a 1995 graduate of Tulane Law School. “I am thrilled to be joining the faculty and hope to contribute to the intellectual life of the law school." January 25, 2024LSU Law is pleased to announce its lineup of distinguished guest scholars who will visit the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center during the Spring 2024 semester. The esteemed group of speakers and lecturers will cover a variety of topics, including Supreme Court legitimacy, environmental governance, voter emancipation, the Second Amendment in American culture, and more. Pugh Institute for Justice to present ‘Gun Violence and Gun Control’ Symposium at LSU Law on Feb. 2, featuring Louisiana State Senator and legal scholars
January 24, 2024The George W. and Jean H. Pugh Institute for Justice will present “Gun Violence & Gun Control” at LSU Law on Friday, Feb. 2. The symposium will take place in the McKernan Auditorium from 12:40 to 4:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. 150 LSU Law students earn academic honors for Fall 2023 semester
January 19, 2024Sixty LSU Law students have been named Paul M. Hebert Scholars for their academic achievement in the Fall 2023 semester, and 90 students have been named Dean’s Scholars. The Paul M. Hebert Scholar is awarded to the top 10% of LSU Law students earning 12 or more credits during an individual semester, and the Dean’s Scholar is awarded to the top 25% of students who meet the same credit criteria.
