2 LSU Law graduates part of the Northwestern LLM editorial board for ABA's The Tax Lawyer

Two recent LSU Law graduates and current LLM candidates at Northwestern University are among a group of students to release the ABA Tax Section’s flagship journal, The Tax Lawyer. William Walsh (‘18) and Allyssa Depew (‘18) are students in the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s LLM Tax Program and members of the school’s The Tax Lawyer editorial board. LSU Law accepting applications for adjunct faculty member openings

Law Office Practice Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member to teach a Law Office Practice course. Law Office Practice is a two-hour simulation course (in accordance with ABA Standard 304) that focuses on the drafting and preparation of various legal documents including contracts, legal opinion letters, estate planning documents, and pleadings. LSU Law mourns the passing of alumnus and former faculty member David Robertson

Robertson. Prof. Robertson was a distinguished faculty member at the University of Texas at Austin Law School and holder of the William Powers, Jr. and Kim L. Heilbrun Chair in Tort Law. LSU Law signs admissions agreement with Centenary College

BATON ROUGE, LA — The LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center signed a memorandum of understanding with Centenary College to create a partnership that will provide Centenary students who meet LSU Law admission requirements and who are interested in public interest careers an opportunity for an expedited admissions review and notification process. Students receive academic honors for Fall 2018 Semester

The LSU Law Center has announced the names of those law students who earned academic honors for the Fall 2018 semester. Fifty-five students were awarded the Paul M. Hebert Scholar honor, and 79 students were selected to be Dean’s Scholars. The Paul M. Hebert Scholar is awarded to the top 10 percent and the Dean’s Scholar is awarded to the top 25 percent of LSU Law students earning 12 or more semester hours of credit in courses taken at the Law Center. 2019 Apprenticeship Week kicks off Jan. 7

January 4, 2019

The annual LSU Law Center Apprenticeship Week kicks off on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019. The week-long program offers a variety of mini-courses aimed at providing students with focused, task-oriented training not generally available in law school courses and usually available only through actual practice experience. Courses offered include many practical, hands-on topics that are taught by volunteer master lawyers and judges. The one-hour credit program is offered free to participating students. Students devote the week of the program to thoughtful preparation for class and diligent completion of the individual and group projects assigned.
