LSU Law interim dean, adjunct professor to discuss NIL, collegiate trademarks, and image rights as part of SEC Law Schools series on Feb. 18

As part of an SEC Law Schools series of conversations on NIL (name, image, and likeness) and the future of intercollegiate athletics, LSU Law Interim Dean Lee Ann Wheelis Lockridge and Adjunct Professor David Fleshman will be a part of a virtual panel discussion on Friday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m.

Interim Dean Lockridge teaches and writes in the area of intellectual property. Her courses include Introduction to Intellectual Property, International Intellectual Property, Advanced Trademark Practice, and Advanced Copyright Practice. She also teaches Contracts to first-year students. She is the co-author of a West casebook, Intellectual Property: Cases and Materials, now in its 5th edition (2018), and has authored law review articles on U.S. and international trademark and copyright law and on the intersection of both copyright and trademark rights with the First Amendment right of free speech.

Adjunct Professor Fleshman, a 2011 graduate of LSU Law, teaches Sports Law and is an attorney at Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson.
