The Law Center’s NBLSA Frederick Douglass Moot Court team of David Pointer and Barry Edwards took home honors for best brief at the regional competition in Birmingham, Alabama on January 20-22. The team advanced to the quarterfinal round of the competition in an exceptionally close match. The team received an award for writing the “Best Brief for the Petitioner” at the regional. Over 150 law schools compete in the national competition which is sponsored by the National Black Law Students Association. The NBLSA Frederick Douglass Moot Court team is coached by Professor Darlene Goring.
