LSU Law Student Bar Association Hosts Annual Legislative Preview

The LSU Law Student Bar Association (SBA) hosted the annual Louisiana Legislative Preview on Tuesday, February 25, in the McKernan Auditorium at the LSU Law Center. The panelists included State Representatives John Bel Edwards (’99) and Patricia Smith, and Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry Mike Strain. Jeffrey Wale, SBA Executive Vice President, moderated the open-subject forum about upcoming issues in the Louisiana legislative session, which begins March 10. Higher education, job growth in Louisiana, state infrastructure needs and proposed legislation for an increase in the minimum wage were among the many topics discussed.
