After serving as LSU Law business manager for more than a decade, Misty Gregoire has been promoted to Assistant Dean of Finance-Administration at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She has been serving in the role on an interim basis since last July.
In her new role, Gregoire will oversee the development, implementation, and management of operating and capital outlay budgets for the Law Center. She will also oversee hiring and staffing processes while working closely with Dean Alena M. Allen on financial strategies and policies.
“Misty has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the Law Center and consistently goes above and beyond with any task she receives,” said Allen. “I am grateful for the assistance and guidance she provided in her interim role—always with a smile and a positive attitude—and I am excited to see Misty grow in her new position.”
Gregoire worked at LSU Accounting Services for seven years, managing the accounts payable and travel office, before bringing her extensive knowledge of university policies to the LSU Law staff in 2013.
“This position represents both an exciting new challenge and an opportunity to guide the Law Center toward greater success,” Gregoire said. “LSU Law has been ‘home’ to me for the past 12 years, and I look forward to continuing to serve the Law Center in this new role.”
Gregoire is a two-time graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, where she earned both a Bachelor of Science in accounting and an MBA with a concentration in accounting.
