Tell us about the student organizations you were involved in at LSU Law, as well as any special events at LSU Law that you may have worked on.
At LSU Law, I was a member of Louisiana Law Review, the Director of Judicial Relations for Appellate Advocacy Competitions on the Board of Advocates, the chair of the Student Bar Association Diversity and Professionalism Committee, and the President of OUTLaw. In my leadership roles, I organized a “Wellness Week” in the Fall of 2023 and conducted a peer mock interview program in the Spring of 2025. I participated heavily in our Advocacy Program, competing in external and internal competitions and coaching two external teams. I was also an active member of the Public Interest Law Society and was honored to serve as a tutor and research assistant.
Tell us about the awards and/or academic honors you’ve received during your time at LSU Law that you’re most proud of.
I received several awards while at LSU Law, including recognition as a Paul M. Hebert Scholar, Dean’s Scholar, and CALI award recipient for several courses. I was a semifinalist in both the 2025 Transactional Negotiation and Client Legal Interviewing & Counseling competitions. I would like to give a special thanks to my partner for both—Gabriella Leccese—for her phenomenal teamwork and the many laughs.
I am honored to have also been inducted to the Order of the Barristers.
What are your fondest memories of your LSU Law experience?
My fondest memories were the most trying ones. While there were ups and downs, in each “down” I was supported by my peers, faculty, and staff—some of whom I now call my closest friends. I could not have achieved everything I have without them, and I owe each one of them my sincerest gratitude.
What are your immediate career plans after taking the bar exam?
After the bar, I will begin a one-year term clerkship with Judge Jane Triche-Milazzo (’92) of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. After my clerkship, I will become a litigation associate at Phelps Dunbar in New Orleans.
What are your long-term career ambitions?
I am excited for my future as a litigator and look forward to honing my craft. I hope to build a legacy of service to my community and inspire others to do the same.
What advice do you have for current law students who aspire to graduate as a member of the Order of the Coif?
Grades don’t have to be your main focus. There are many measures of success in law school. Don’t let your GPA goals keep you from experiencing other things.
