I served as an Issue Editor for Louisiana Law Review and was also a member of the Student Bar Association Academics Committee.

Tell us about the awards and/or academic honors you’ve received during your time at LSU Law that you’re most proud of.

I am most proud of being published in Vol. 84 of Louisiana Law Review, as it reflected my dedication and commitment to legal scholarship. I was honored to receive the Lagniappe Award for Best Blog Post for Vol. 85 of Louisiana Law Review. Additionally, I was the recipient of CALI Awards in several courses, including Basic Civil Procedure I, Family Law: Of Persons, Constitutional Law: 14th Amendment, Louisiana Civil Procedure II, and Antitrust Law. I was the recipient of the Blanchard, Walker, O’Quin & Roberts Scholarship for the 2023-24 academic year, and I received the Gene Hearn Memorial Scholarship for the 2024-25 academic year.

What are your fondest memories of your LSU Law experience?

My most cherished memory from LSU Law is meeting my fiancé Nathan Jagot during our first semester. From that point on, we have shared every step of this journey together. His constant encouragement and unwavering support pushed me to excel, and I’m grateful to have had him by my side throughout law school.

What are your immediate career plans after taking the bar exam?

After taking the bar exam, I will be clerking for Judge S. Maurice Hicks, Jr. (’74) at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.

What are your long-term career ambitions?

My long-term goal is to serve the Shreveport community through compassionate and diligent legal advocacy. I hope to use my legal education to make a difference in the place I call home.

What advice do you have for current law students who aspire to graduate as a member of the Order of the Coif?

Although law school is very challenging, academic success in law school is not about being the smartest person in the room but about showing up every day and giving it your all. Study hard, take care of yourself personally and mentally, and don’t be afraid to ask questions! Don’t compare yourself to others and focus on your own growth and goals.
