Tell us about the student organizations you were involved in at LSU Law, as well as any special events at LSU Law that you may have worked on.

Although commuting from Lafayette limited my time for extracurricular activities, I am proud to have been a member of Louisiana Law Review. Throughout the writing process, I developed a strong appreciation for legal scholarship and saw significant growth in my legal research and writing skills.

I am deeply appreciative for the support and assistance of my advisor, Professor Bill Corbett. His expert advice was truly invaluable.

I also enjoyed tutoring Professor Alain Levasseur’s Legal Traditions and Systems class. It was a privilege to work alongside such a distinguished figure to share the unique and often advantageous aspects of Louisiana’s civilian legal tradition with my fellow law students.

Tell us about the awards and/or academic honors you’ve received during your time at LSU Law that you’re most proud of.

One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of during my time at LSU Law was placing second in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers’ national writing competition. I was also honored to graduate magna cum laude and receive CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Legal Research and Writing, Legal Traditions and Systems, and Obligations.

I had the privilege of interning with Judge David Joseph (’03) in the Western District of Louisiana. While not a formal award, the experience gave me invaluable insight into the federal judiciary and helped to further develop my legal analysis and writing skills in a real-world context.

What are your fondest memories of your LSU Law experience?

Participating in LSU Law’s Summer Program in Lyon, France was an unforgettable experience. Spending seven weeks in Europe with my family while earning credits toward both my Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law was incredibly gratifying. The program allowed me to both study and experience meaningful moments with my family in an extraordinary international setting.

What are your immediate career plans after taking the bar exam?

After the bar exam, I look forward to joining Kean Miller’s Lafayette office.

What are your long-term career ambitions?

My long-term goal is to offer valuable counsel and representation to all my clients, particularly in a labor and employment context. Having close ties to Lafayette and the Acadiana region, I hope to use my expertise to support and strengthen local businesses and the broader community.

What advice do you have for current law students who aspire to graduate as a member of the Order of the Coif?

First, excellence is a habit. By striving for excellence in all things, you will find not only academic success but also personal and professional achievement.

Second, it is crucial to utilize your time effectively. Carefully prioritizing your workload will help you concentrate on the truly important material.

Third, the support of family and friends outside of law school is as good as gold. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have a strong support system that, especially during the toughest times, reminded me that I was valued. Surround yourself with people who help you step back and see beyond the demands and pressures of law school.
