During my 3L year, I served as Production Editor for Volume 85 of Louisiana Law Review after serving as a Junior Associate on Vol. 84. I was also a tutor for Professor Melissa Lonegrass’ Traditions course and Professor John Devlin’s Constitutional Law I course.

Tell us about the awards and/or academic honors you’ve received during your time at LSU Law that you’re most proud of.

I graduated magna cum laude and received seven CALI awards.

What are your fondest memories of your LSU Law experience?

My fondest memories from my LSU Law experience are the close friendships I made and, most of all, getting to share the entire experience with my now fiancé, Graham Core, who I met during my first semester here at LSU Law.

What are your immediate career plans after taking the bar exam?

After taking the bar exam I am moving to Houston, Texas to start as an associate at Vinson & Elkins.

What are your long-term career ambitions?

I hope to find an area of corporate law that I really enjoy and specialize in it. I also hope to find people that I really enjoy working with, as I think working with good people is the key to truly loving your job.

What advice do you have for current law students who aspire to graduate as a member of the Order of the Coif?

It’s all about balance and hard work. Make time to take care of yourself and spend time with your friends and family; it will help you recharge and keep a much-needed perspective. But understand that achieving your goals takes hard work. Go the extra mile to make your own outlines and deep dive into the information; it will pay off in the end!
