Tell us about the student organizations you were involved in at LSU Law, as well as any special events at LSU Law that you may have worked on.

I had the opportunity to serve as the Vice President of the Christian Legal Society. I was also a member of Louisiana Law Review as a Junior Associate on Vol. 84 and a Senior Editor on Vol. 85. Further, I had the wonderful opportunity to work as an academic tutor for both Professor William Corbett’s Torts course and Professor Ray Diamond’s Constitutional Law course.

Tell us about the awards and/or academic honors you’ve received during your time at LSU Law that you’re most proud of.

Louisiana Law Review selected my comment, “Louisiana, the Potential Safe-Haven for Creators of Artificial Intelligence: Louisiana’s Response to Thaler v. Perlmutter,” for publication. I received the Paul M. Hebert Scholar award each semester and several CALI awards throughout my time at LSU Law. Lastly, I graduated summa cum laude.

What are your fondest memories of your LSU Law experience?

My fondest memories of LSU Law revolve around the people that I had the privilege of meeting and forming friendships with. From the football tailgates to Louisiana Law Review events, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. However, my greatest blessing is getting to do it all beside Kenli, my fiancé, who I met at LSU Law (Go check her Order of the Coif profile out!).

What are your immediate career plans after taking the bar exam?

I will be moving to Houston, Texas to work as a transactional associate for Latham & Watkins.

What are your long-term career ambitions?

I look forward to immersing myself in the transactional law practice, and I hope to become an expert in mergers and acquisitions. However, the dream is to become an in-house counsel of a professional baseball team.

What advice do you have for current law students who aspire to graduate as a member of the Order of the Coif?

I have found that the earlier you start, the more you will thank yourself when finals roll around. There is a lot of information to learn in a semester, so start outlining your classes early.
