Tell us about the student organizations you were involved in at LSU Law, as well as any special events at LSU Law that you may have worked on.

I was a member of Louisiana Law Review and served as Managing Editor. I was also a founding member and Secretary of the Student Chapter of the Federal Bar Association at LSU Law. In addition, I was an LSU Law Ambassador and participated in the LSU Sports, Entertainment & Media Law Society.

Tell us about the awards and/or academic honors you’ve received during your time at LSU Law that you’re most proud of.

The two honors that have meant the most to me are being selected for publication by Louisiana Law Review and receiving the Ryan LoProto Memorial Scholarship. Being chosen for publication affirmed the value of my legal research and writing, while the Ryan LoProto Scholarship was especially meaningful because it recognizes not just academic achievement, but also integrity, leadership, and a genuine commitment to serving others.

What are your fondest memories of your LSU Law experience?

Without a doubt, the proudest moment of my LSU Law experience was seeing the first issue of Vol. 85 of Louisiana Law Review published. It was the result of tremendous dedication and teamwork, and I could not have been more proud to work alongside such a committed and talented group of peers.

That said, my fondest memories come from the moments spent outside the classroom. The challenges of law school have made my classmates my closest friends. From our summer abroad in France to quiet weekends around Baton Rouge, it’s the shared moments and seemingly trivial adventures—those small experiences that have made up the last three years—that I’ll always look back on with a smile.

What are your immediate career plans after taking the bar exam?

I will begin my legal career as an associate at Baker Botts in their Houston, Texas office. In 2026, I will have the honor of serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Darrel J. Papillion (’94) in the Eastern District of Louisiana.

What are your long-term career ambitions?

I hope to continue publishing academic articles and make a meaningful contribution to the never-ending pursuit of perfecting the law. Above all else, however, I want to make a positive impact on all those I come across in the legal profession.

What advice do you have for current law students who aspire to graduate as a member of the Order of the Coif?

Don’t let law school consume your entire world. While long hours in the library—or wherever you study best—are necessary, it is just as important to stay connected to life outside the classroom. Make time for the people and activities that bring you joy. They will not only keep you grounded but also recharge you for the challenges ahead. Oh… and, do not post-mortem exams. Just go home and relax.
