Trinity Klomparens and Calvin Huh of Patrick Henry College in Virginia won the 2024 AMCA National Tournament, which LSU Law hosted on Jan. 13-14.
Thirty teams of undergraduate students from across the country traveled to the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center Jan. 13-14 to compete in the Preliminary round for the American Moot Court Association National Tournament. Calvin Huh and Trinity Klomparens from Patrick Henry College in Virginia were crowned the winning team at the end of the competition.
AMCA Executive Director Michael Walsh said the association is looking forward to bringing the tournament back to Baton Rouge in 2025 when LSU Law will host 32 teams.
“Our partnership with LSU Law really has been key to hosting these competitions,” Walsh said, commending the Law Center’s ability to host such a large, multi-day competition. “They did a marvelous job last year. This has also been a great opportunity for the university to show undergraduate students why they would want to go to law school there.”
