18 LSU Law students nominated for Wex Malone Inn of Court membership in recognition of trial advocacy success

Eighteen LSU Law students were nominated for membership into the Wex Malone Inn of Court following their success in the Law Center’s 2023 Vinson & Elkins Trial Advocacy Program, which was held Aug. 7-9.

Faculty members of the Trial Advocacy Program nominate a limited number of students from their respective sections for the honor of membership. The Wex Malone Inn of Court is one of 175 chapters of the American Inns of Court, a national organization of attorneys dedicated to improving civility, professionalism and ethics among the bench and bar.

Many distinguished judges and attorneys in the Baton Rouge area maintain membership in the local chapter, and nominated students are provided with networking opportunities, access to professional skills workshops, and the possibility of being matched with attorney mentors. The Wex Malone Inn of Court meets once a month to hold programs and discussions on matters of skills and professionalism.
