What a year, and what a difference a Tiger can make!
As we celebrate Giving Day, Jim Roy (’76) and his wife Ginger are challenging everyone in our LSU Family to join them in supporting our Classroom to Courtroom Campaign. Funds raised will support our effort to remodel up to four classrooms to add functional courtrooms. Please rise to the challenge today to meet the $50,000 match by the Roys.
“The foundation of my professional success began with my LSU Law school education. I am profoundly grateful for that great legal education,” says Jim. “I give to LSU Law because I want to give back to the institution that has helped me so much, and by doing so I can help LSU Law continue to deliver a strong legal education to its students.”
Our 35 award-winning Moot Court and Trial Advocacy teams need places to practice and compete, and our teachers need a “courtroom-like” environment to better prepare students.
The renovation of Room 107 is nearing completion, and with the Roys’ second generous gift to the project, state-of-the-art technology and furnishings are now a reality. Many alums and friends, along with the LSU Law Classes of 2021 and 2020, have contributed to the Classroom to Courtroom Campaign.
Please consider supporting our Classroom to Courtroom Campaign, Law General Scholarship Fund, or Law Annual Fund — or all three if you can — and thank you!

In the videos below, 3L Class President Keifer Ackley and 3L Mallory Guillot, Board of Advocates Vice President of External Competitions, discuss the many ways additional courtrooms will improve the LSU Law experience for all students and how the Class of 2021 is contributing to the campaign.
