LSU Law second-year students Sara Kuebel and Sarah Nickel won the 2016 Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition on Oct. 24 in the Robinson Courtroom at the LSU Law Center.
Kuebel and Nickel narrowly defeated their opponents, fellow 2Ls Alyssa Depew and Josie Serigne, in a challenging final round. All four advocates were complimented by the final round judges, U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick, Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal Judge J. Michael McDonald and LSU Law Center Dean Thomas Galligan, for their preparation, command of the material and poise in the courtroom.

Named in honor of the late Dean Emeritus of the LSU Law Center, The Robert Lee Tullis competition has been a tradition of honor since 1936. The Tullis Competition provides opportunities for development of appellate advocacy skills for all second-year students.
