Todd Bruno has been named acting associate director of Clinical Legal Education for Field placement Programs. As acting associate director, Bruno will assist with planning and implementing the Law Center’s expanded offering of field placement programs during the 2008-09 academic year.
Professor Bruno joined the Law Center as assistant professor in Fall 2001. He has taught legal writing and appellate advocacy, and serves as faculty coordinator of the Law Center’s award-winning moot court and mock trial programs. He will continue to direct the Law Center’s successful moot court programs.
Bruno previously practiced as a trial lawyer, first with the New Orleans law firm of Jones Walker and then in San Francisco with Carroll, Burdick and McDonough. His litigation experience is in the areas of products liability, intellectual property, and criminal defense.
Bruno has dedicated much of his law practice to pro bono criminal defense. He frequently consults with the law firm of Sidley, Austin, Brown and Wood in New York City during his winter and summer breaks. Other legal experience includes employment with the firms of Baker and Botts in Houston, and Morgan, Lewis and Bockius in Philadelphia. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
