Application Checklist
The LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center Loan Repayment Assistance Program Selection Committee cannot consider an application unless it is complete. Please review the list below to confirm you have completed the application and attached all required supplemental information.
Application Requirements
- Complete the Online LRAP Application
- The form requires that you provide the following documents:
- Personal Statement (1-page limit) describing your commitment to public service, what you see yourself doing over the next five years, and if applicable, any extenuating circumstances you feel make you a compelling applicant.
- Current Resume
- Employer Certification Form (Download PDF) stating start date and projected yearly gross income
- Documentation verifying the applicant’s law school loans and bar examination expenses, if applicable, including current loan balance, current monthly payment and current loan status
- Most recent Federal Income Tax Return (or joint return if married) with social security numbers redacted.
- Please have these documents ready and in a digital format (PDF/DOCX) before beginning the application process
- Note that the last two required materials (Loan Documentation and Federal Tax Return) are to be uploaded separately via DocuSign. This step is also described on the LRAP Application.

Requirements for Grant Disbursement
Following an Award Notification
- Final letter from employer certifying eligibility for payment after the 12-month period of qualifying employment and awardee’s current salary
- Documentation verifying timely repayment of loans during the 12-month period of qualifying employment
- Social Security Number
