Congratulations to Nathalia Rocha Dickson, LSU LL.M. 2012, on her success at the Louisiana Bar! A graduate of the Catholic University in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Nathalia Rocha Dickson attended the LSU LL.M.the same year as Flavia Moody, graduate of the University of Fortaleza, also a member of the Louisiana Bar: Geaux Brazil!
Congratulations to Anouk Guéroult-Bellone, LL.M. 2015, on her success at the Washington State Bar Examination! Prior to studying at LSU (LL.M. in Comparative Law), Anouk graduated in the Master of Trilingual Legal Studies (Master Juriste Trilingue) at Université de Nantes (France), in 2014.
Professor Jeffrey C. Brooks, Preis PLC Director of Advocacy and Professional Practice, Director of Field placements & Moot Court/Trial Advocacy Program; Assistant Professor of Professional Practice, represented our LL.M. in Comparative Law at the International Rounds of the 2016-2017 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, in Washington D.C. Jessup is the world’s largest moot court competition, with participants from over 550 law schools in more than 87 countries. The 2017 White & Case International Rounds take place April 9 – 15, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill.
As part of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer’s Foreign Attorney Program, our Washington, DC office is seeking foreign attorneys (including LLM applicants) fluent in English and Spanish or Portuguese, with strong writing skills in both languages, to work with the International Arbitration and/or International Corporate groups in a temporary position to last approximately six months.
- The arbitration practice includes ICC, ICSID, and UNCITRAL rules cases, among others.
- The corporate practice includes corporate transactions related to both inbound and outbound investment, as well as banking and capital markets transactions.
- Through the Foreign Attorney Program, Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer seeks to develop mutually advantageous relationships with attorneys in countries around the world.
- Candidates will have at a minimum, bar membership in the foreign attorney’s home country and preferably the addition of an ABA accredited LLM program from a US law school.
- All applicants should have excellent academic credentials and references.
