The Bench and Bar
The Professional Practice curriculum has a successful working relationship with State Bench and Bar who so generously share their expertise and time with 1L students within the Professional Practice curriculum.
Mike Fontham of Stone, Pigman in New Orleans has presented a lecture to the entire 1L class about appellate oral advocacy for more than 15 years. Numerous judges and practicing lawyers serve as Appellate Judges for the Moot Circuit Court of Appeal 1L oral arguments as well as coach Moot Court teams, and serve as classroom guest lecturers.
The Professional Practice department relies upon these distinguished men and women who continue to serve year after year.
