Symposium Objective and Purpose

In this Symposium, the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources will discuss the transformation of the global energy sector from traditional processes to new technologies. The symposium will address the following three legal topics:

• Solar Power Developments;
• Decarbonization; and
• Regulations on New Energy Infrastructure and Resources.

The Symposium features renowned scholars and attorneys, including Michael Brassett, David E. Dismukes, Joe Wilson, Shelley Eichenlaub, Reese Goldsmith, Nicholas Bryner, Kathleen Doody, Anthony “Tony” Marino, Tershara Matthews, and Keith Hall. Professors from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center will moderate these panels and assist us in addressing these issues.

The LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources (JELR) is a student-edited academic journal at the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center committed to developing and promoting a variety of topics in the purview of energy law. The JELR was established by students at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in November of 2011.
