LSU Law magazine Debuts

The inaugural issue of LSU Law magazine made its debut in early April to rave reviews. The magazine, a beautiful and informative document, was distributed to an audience of alumni, academics, and administrators across the country. LSU Law magazine chronicles three significant events: the Law Center’s Centennial Year, Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and the changing of the guard as Chancellor Costonis returns to full-time teaching in July 2007. It also considers fundamental issues regarding the Law Center’s past, present, and future through numerous feature stories, profiles, and articles of contemporary significance. While focusing on the Law Center’s roots in Louisiana, LSU Law magazine spotlights the national impact of innovations and traditions at Louisiana’s premiere law school.

Tucker Lecture holds 34th Annual Series

Professor Helmut Koziol was the guest lecturer for the thirty-fourth annual Tucker Lecture held at the LSU Law Center. A speaker of international prominence, Professor Koziol spoke on Punitive Damages: A European Perspective.


Law Center establishes New study abroad program

Beginning this year, the Law Center will conduct a summer program in Argentina at the School of Law of Austral University in Buenos Aires. This new study abroad program is in addition to the existing Lyon summer program. The program will offer courses with strong comparative and international components.
